It’s that time of year to protect your little ones from seasonal influenza (flu). Seasonal flu is a highly infections respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses. It is the leading cause of illness, hospitalizations and deaths out of all the combined vaccine preventable diseases in the United States (Washoe Country Health District**).
If your child is 6 months to 12 months old, our providers recommend getting them vaccinated now as they will need 2 shots in order to be protected. We will be holding our annual flu clinics on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s, beginning October 11th. If parents wish to be vaccinated, the cost is $30. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment today!
